Title:  Microsoft Office Quick Repair

 

Problem:  Other applications installed on computers may work with Microsoft Office Products.   When there is an issue with Office or applications that work with Office, a quick Office Repair may need to be performed.

 

Solution:

  1. Open Control Panel
    1. Left click on Windows Logo and type CONTROL.  Select Control Panel.
  2. Open Programs and Features in Control Panel.
    1. Change View by to Small Icons.   Open Programs and Features.
  3. Find the Microsoft Office install in the list of programs.  Right Click and select Change.
  4. Select YES on the UAC Prompt.
  5. Select Quick Repair.  Select Repair.
  6. Select Repair.
  7. When you receive the window below, the repair is done.  Select Close.
  8. Reboot Computer.

 

Notes: 

  • Online repair is recommended to be performed by IT in case of unexpected issues
  • Local Admin permission is required
  • Quick Repair is estimated to take about 5-20min
  • Outlook Profiles and Office Licenses have been confirmed to be unaffected after Quick Repair
