How to Run DU


Overview


Homespire is moving from Fannie Mae DO (Desktop Originator) to Fannie Mae DU (Desktop Underwriter). Follow the instructions below for first time use. If for some reason Fannie Mae DO must be used, please contact Quentin Neuber. For any questions about DU findings, contact an Underwriter or Fannie Mae directly: 1-800-2FANNIE. For any other questions or issues, please contact Encompass Support.




Instructions


Step 1: Click on Services and select Request Underwriting.




Step 2: If Fannie Mae DU on ePass is already added to the My Providers tab, skip to Step 3.

If Fannie Mae DU on ePass is not listed on the My Providers tab, click on the All Providers tab. Locate Fannie Mae DU on ePass from the list and select Add to My List.




Step 3: Single click Fannie Mae DU on ePass so that it is highlighted blue. Click Submit.




Step 4: Select the first hyperlink at the top left, Submit to DU on ePass.




Step 5: Select the second option to Provide a reference number to re-issue a previously ordered credit report. It is extremtly important to selection this option.




Step 6: Select Credit Plus from the Credit Provider drop down and manually type in the credit reference number from the borrower’s credit report. Click Next.




Step 7: Enter your Credit Plus user name and password and click Submit.


Account Number: your Credit plus user name

Password: your Credit Plus password




*Note: if your Credit Plus password ever changes, you will need to re-type it into this field in order to be able to run DU successfully, otherwise you will get an error message.


**If you receive an error message that states “The case file XXXX is not associated with the institution ID…”, you must go into the loan, to the FNMA Streamline 1003, remove the Mornet Casefile ID, and resubmit.**
